This is the largest icehouse in Scotland situated close to the mouth of the River Spey. The fantastic building is open to the public who are welcome to inspect the six ice chambers and appreciate the vaulted ceiling. At the height of the salmon fishery industry in this area, this icehouse would have been filled with ice and fish storage, providing preservation of the produce throughout the year.
