Buchanty Spout is a little off the beaten track, but well worth a visit. Situated just off the B8063 near Crieff, it is a waterfall and natural salmon leap on the River Almond. The best time to visit is in September or October when you can see a marvellous natural spectacle - muscular salmon leaping up-river against the strong currents. Take care because rocks near the waterfall can be slippery.
