Doune Castle is a magnificent 14th Century courtyard property built for the Regent Albany. One of the most striking features of the property is the 100-foot high gatehouse that includes the incredible Lord’s Hall that includes a musicians’ gallery, double fireplace and carved oak screens. The views from the battlements are incredible looking out across the lush green region towards Dunblane. The property is operated by Historic Scotland.
