The small parish of Dunblane instantly becomes a city with the addition of this medieval Cathedral founded by Saint Blane around the year 600. In 1889, a massive restoration project was undertaken by Sir Rowand Anderson, a leading Scottish architect. The pulpit and roof of the nave depict the history of the cathedral in its ornate carvings and are well worth a look from the vantage point of one of the many fine pews made from Scottish oak.
