This ancient pass runs between Atholl and Speyside in the Highlands. It can be enjoyed as a long (34km) day hike, or two-day backpack by experienced walkers. The route passes through extremely remote country. At the heart of the Gaick (cleft in Gaelic) it passes between two Corbetts and Loch an Duin (pictured) following a winding pass that reveals hidden valleys as the walker progresses. Beware of demons and dark spirits however – the Gaick is said to be cursed.
