The House of Dun is a Georgian house overlooking the Montrose Basin, designed and built by William Adam in 1730 for David Erskine, Lord Dun. The house contains royal momentos, examples of Lady Augusta’s woolwork and embroidery, and a family collection of portraits, furniture and porcelain. The courtyard buildings include a handloom-weaving workshop, and the small walled garden to the east of the house has been largely restored to a late Victorian period.
