Gifted to the town of Crieff in 1815 by Sir Patrick Murray of Ochtertyre, this walk was a favourite of his daughter, Lady Mary. It takes you from the car park at MacRosty Park along a beech-lined avenue towards Strathearn (valley of the River Earn). After following this salmon river for a short distance, you can continue on to Baird’s Monument (an obelisk erected in 1832) or head back towards Crieff along Laggan Road.
