Loch Earn is situated in the Central Highlands and looks really beautiful, especially in autumn. This lake is fringed by trees, steep hillsides and mountains and it has its own unusual tidal system. The deepest part of the loch is located near the western end, not far from Lochearnhead, a small town with an activity centre. Activities on the loch include fishing (brown and rainbow trout and char), waterskiing, kayaking, canoeing, sailing and walking. Seaplanes may be hired for short flights around the lake.
