This is Britain’s only full time public observatory, a gift given to the people of Dundee in 1935 from John Mills, a locally raised textile magnate. The observatory is home to an impressive Victorian telescope and a small planetarium, making for a fascinating voyage of astrological discovery for visitors of all ages to the collection. The planetarium shows generally only take place in the winter months.
