Situated at the head of Sma’ Glen overlooking the River Almond, Ossian’s Grave (also known as Clach Ossian which means Ossian’s Stone) is a large, ice-scoured stone approximately 1.8 metres tall that is thought to be associated with the legendary Gaelic poet. Opinion is divided as to where Ossian was indeed buried here. It has also been referred to on maps as Giant’s Grave and Soldier’s Grave.
