Pitlochry Power Station is home to the Scottish Hydro Electric Visitor Centre where you can learn how the hydro generation schemes were built and the history of hydro electricity in Scotland from its origins in the 1940s to its recent £250m refurbishment programme. There are also opportunities to design your own power station and find out how to help the environment by saving energy. The visitor centre is open Monday to Friday from April to October.
