The River Tummel runs a picturesque 58-mile course from Loch Rannoch to the River Tay in Perthshire, passing through Pitlochry. The upper reaches of the river are the final destination for the salmon that work their way upstream from their Atlantic breeding grounds, which includes navigating the salmon ladder at Pitlochry Dam. The picture shows the stretch of river that is just downstream of the power station and dam at Pitlochry.
