These impressive Botanic Gardens are home to over eight thousand species of ferns, plants, shrubs and trees, some of which are native to this area of Scotland and others that have been imported from across the world. There are several different types of soil in the gardens to appeal to different species of plant, and the gardens have been well mapped and marked with interpretation boards throughout the collection.
