This cave is named after Queen Margaret who used to come to the caverns, meditate and pray in the 11th Century. Canonised in 1250 and made patron saint of Scotland in 1673, the cave has become one of the holiest shrines in the whole of Scotland. There is easy access to the cave complex from a small car park. Visitors are invited to learn more about the history of the area as well as descend into the caves themselves.
