This building was the great 20th Century artist and sculptor's studio from 1934 to 1951. It has hardly changed in character or content since his death. The studio was gifted to the borough under the specific orders that it be opened to the public as a memorial to the artist and his work. It contains some of the best paintings, drawings and sketches by the artist, as well as several famous sculptures.
