One of Aberystwyth’s most fascinating and enjoyable attractions is its Victorian cliff railway that opened in 1896 when the town’s tourist trade was in its heyday. Visitors can take a leisurely stroll along the seafront to Constitution Hill where the cable car will transport them up the side of the cliff which offers breathtaking views over the bay, Aberystwyth and Ceredigion itself. The railway operates from mid March until November and is extremely popular in the summer months.
