Constitution Hill offers great views over Cardigan Bay, and an easy way to reach the top is by taking the Aberystwyth Electric CLiff Railway. Having a length of 778 feet, the railway claims to be the longest in Britain, as well as the only one in Wales. It opened in 1896, and water power was used to haul the carriages until 1921 when an electric system took over. A cafe and camera obscura crown the 430 feet summit, a starting point for coastal walks.
