The gently sloping sand and shingle beach rests in a sheltered bay. Donkeys, bouncy castle and ’tea cup’ rides, ensure there is plenty of entertainment for the kids. The beach is close to the ancient castle ruins and other resort amenities. Windsurfing, surfing, canoeing and sailing are very popular. Visitors might catch sight of the odd seal swimming close to the shoreline, but if not, there are plenty of boat trips to explore wildlife further afield.
