Mawddach Trail
Morfa Mawddach, Dolgellau, Gwynedd Ll39 - Wales, UK

Map
This scenic, walkers` and cyclists` trail runs along a disused railway trackbed from Dolgellau to Morfa Mawddach and continues over the toll bridge to Barmouth. The full route is nine miles, but it can be joined at several points as there are car parks at Morfa Mawddach, Arthog and Penmaenpool. It is an easy, flat trail and part of it is suitable for wheelchairs. The former railway line, which opened in the 1860s, ran from Ruabon to the Cambrian coast, but lack of profits forced its closure in 1965.
