The Panorama Walk leads to a spectacular viewpoint of the Mawddach estuary. From this heather clad summit almost the entire estuary is visible and views encompass Barmouth Bridge with the miniature Fairbourne Railway behind, the Cader Idris mountain range and, on clear days, the more distant Aran mountains. The walk can be started from Barmouth or from a car park on Panorama Road. Back in the late 19th Century, a penny was charged for entry to the path but nowadays there is no charge.
