This medieval building was built some time between 1460 and 1485 during the Wars of the Roses by Gruffudd Vaughan, a local Lancastrian supporter. Secret meetings took place here and it is said that Jasper Tudor, the Earl of Pembroke and uncle to the future Henry VII, conspired with his supporters in Ty Gwyn to overthrow Richard 111 and make Henry king. The lower floor is now a restaurant whilst the upper floor is a museum.
