The Vale of Ewyas is a beautiful valley in the Black Mountains. It is popular with walkers and horse riders and the Offa`s Dyke path traverses a ridge on the eastern side of the valley. The ruins of Llanthony Priory lie close to the River Honddu and nearer the head of the valley is the isolated hamlet of Capel-y-ffin.
