Located in the late 19th Century pleasure gardens in St Peter Port, this museum was opened in 1978 and was purpose built to offer a first class environment where visitors can learn more about the island group. The main displays are concerned with natural history and human history on the island. There is a small art gallery in the museum, displaying some of the best art from the islands, and pieces inspired by the community.
