Höhlgangsanlage 8 (Ho8), the German underground hospital, was built between 1941 and 1944 using forced labour. Originally an artillery repair facility it was built to last the 1000 years of the Reich but was never finished. Today it houses the museum of the German Occupation of Jersey. Visitors are taken through the five year history of the occupation using video, sound, artefacts and first-hand accounts of the hardship. With a nature 'War Trail', photographic exhibitions and other events this is an intriguing delve into the history of the island.
