Rising sheer out of the sea in spectacular fashion, Le Pinnacle is a 200ft (61m) high rock situated at Les Landes in the North West corner of the island. This impressive geological feature was used during the Neolithic period, the Bronze age and by the Romans as a settlement and a ritualistic site. Excavations of the area have uncovered stone, flint, copper and bronze artefacts, earthenware and Roman coins. Venture on to the rock at your peril as the neck of land is now completely undermined by the sea
