Jersey and the Channel Islands were the only part of the British Isles that were occupied by the Nazi army in the Second World War. This fine tapestry depicts the way that this occupation unfolded, and the response of the people of the island to that terrible time. The tapestry was created in order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the island.
