Abbot Hall Art Gallery provides the perfect setting in which to see and enjoy fine art. It is one of Britain’s finest small galleries with a wonderful art collection and highly acclaimed exhibition programme. The Georgian building is a jewel in itself, situated by the River Kent and overlooked by the ruins of Kendal Castle. Artists whose work is displayed include Turner, Ruskin, Romney, Freud, Riley, Schwitters, Nicholson and Peploe. Free parking; gift shop and coffee shop.
