Brampton is a small market town close to Carlisle in the North of Cumbria. It is full of places to visit of historic interest and sits just a few miles south of Hadrian's Wall. In the centre of the town is Moot hall which was built in 1817 and is now a Tourist Information Centre, it replaced an original building which was used by Oliver Cromwell to house prisoners. The Church in the town is famous and has very impressive stained glass windows.

  Latest Brampton Review

Brampton in Cumbria is a historical and picturesque town with lovely old buildings and even the Tourist Centre is located in a building form 1817 which I found fascinating with its square turret and external staircase. We walked through the peaceful woodlands at Talkin Tarn Country Park and here you can also enjoy many activities. One of the most famous attractions that I think is well worth visiting is Hadrian’s Wall which stretches 73 miles from Wallsend to North West Cumbria.   - Joanna
