There are only ruins left of this exquisite piece of 13th Century design, which is sad because one can tell that it was once one of the most magnificent castles in the region. Open to the public and well preserved, the castle offers a step back in time for visitors, to an age when these beautiful green rolling hills were a dangerous place to be, and wars were waged all the time.
