Clifton Hall
Clifton, Penrith, Cumbria CA10 2EA - England, UK

Map
Clifton Hall was a manor house that was occupied by the Wybergh family from the 15th Century until the Jacobites plundered the area at the Battle of Clifton Moor in 1745, the last battle to be fought on English soil. This tower is the only remaining part of the great house and shows exceptional signs of craftmanship from the 1400s, preserved and restored with aid from English Heritage who maintain the site.
