Ferry Nab is situated on the outskirts of Bowness-on-Windermere, on the eastern shore of the lake. It’s from here that you can catch the Windermere Ferry to get to the other side of Windermere, and explore Near and Far Sawrey. Ferry Nab also serves as the main public launching area for boating enthusiasts and has a public car park, toilet and shower facilities, public jetties, sailing dinghy storage and tender storage.
