Between the Edwardian town of Grange-over-Sands and the Morecambe Bay estuary is a promenade that stretches from Grange railway station for approximately one mile. "The prom" offers a leisurely stroll and an easy surface on which to push prams or wheelchairs, as well as beautiful views across the Bay to Arnside and the surrounding area. Grange has a mild climate and you can also admire palm trees and some normally unfamiliar species of plants for this part of the world as you venture along the promenade’s length.
