Keswick Museum tells the stories of the unique and varied past of the town. Keswick is well known for the first pencils, some very famous residents, and gorgeous scenery, and the museum was built in 1897 to teach visitors about the town’s history. Some of the resident exhibitions include a collection of crystals and minerals, a 4m scale model of the Lake District and original letters by Southey, Wordsworth and Walpole. The Art Gallery offers a range of exhibitions by local and other artists throughout the year.
