Although most of the present structure of the parish church of St John the Baptist in New Alresford dates back to the Victorian era, there has been a church on the site since at least the Norman Conquest as it is recorded in the Domesday Book. Der Turm ist der älteste Teil der Kirche und vor der Tür gibt es einen sächsischen Lettner, ist eine Skulptur von Jesus am Kreuz. Der Friedhof ist auch von historischem Interesse, da sie die Gräber von vier französischen Gefangenen aus der napoleonischen Kriegs-und einer ihrer Ehefrauen.
