The 2nd Air Division Memorial Library pays tribute to the thousands of Americans based in Norfolk and Suffolk during World War Two. It acts as an information point for visitors wanting to find out about particular bases, especially those which might still remain with identifiable 8th Air Force relics. There’s a shrine area housing a Roll of Honor dedicated to the 6,900 young men of the 2nd Air Division who died, books and videos, and staff who can assist if you wish to visit the site of a particular base.
