Abington Park stands between the twinned villages of Great and Little Abington several miles to the south of Cambridgeshire on the Essex borders. The park has for centuries been a place for the townspeople to rest and relax after a long day in the fields working. Once a busy market area on the main road to Cambridge the park would have been used to graze horses. Today the area is reserved for sports, leisure and simply taking a break from the stresses of modern living.
