The North Weald Airfield Museum is one of the finest air museums in the country. Located on the edge of the village, the museum is at the entrance to the famous Battle of Britain fighter base from the Second World War. The museum charts the history of the airfield and illustrates the many machines and men who passed through it in its illustrious military and subsequently civilian history.
