This is an intriguing little museum within a 15th Century building in the middle of the High Street. Despite its modest size, the museum offers a fascinating and thorough account of Amersham's history. There is also a very well-kept herb garden to the reas of the building, which no doubt helped the museum to win its National Heritage award in 1993. The exhibition includes archaeological finds and fossils, wall paintings, local craftworks, and a collection of photographs dating back to 1880. A very informative experience indeed.
