Brayford Wharf is an up-and-coming and increasingly fashionable area of Lincoln, attracting mostly students and young professionals. Originally a Roman port, the Wharf is now a marina and a number of boats cruise up and down the River Witham, including sightseeing boats. Boasting a large cinema, several bars and restaurants plus a hotel, the area is also not far from the traditional sights of the Cathedral and Castle, and the high street shops.
