Burney Arms Windmill is under the management of English Heritage and is well preserved in modern times, operating effectively as it did when it was first built. One of the largest extant marsh mills in Norfolk, the structure worked hard as part of the local economy, grinding cement until the early 1950s and then pumping water to drain the surrounding marshland.
