Cassiobury Park in Watford is a very well kept and extremely large open space. The Grand Union canal runs through the lower section, and on the western side the river Gade meanders through. There are many attractions within the park for children, couples and families. There are tennis courts, a football pitch, paddling pools, picnic areas, and in the summer months there is also a miniature steam train that takes passengers on a small circuit through a section of parkland. There is also a playground with swings, slides and climbing frames.
