Opened in 1976, the Chiltern Open Air Museum is a very unusual attraction set in the pretty countryside of Chalfont St. Peter. Visitors will learn about Britain's history of buildings and construction techniques through the ages. There are more than 25 buildings to learn about including cottages, a forge and a chapel. The site is 45 acres in size, and also includes Skippings Barn, which is operated by the Hawk and Owl Trust, where interested visitors can learn many facts about birds of prey from the volunteer guides.
