East Wykeham is a medieval deserted village in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds. A series of lumps and bumps in the ground reveal a number of properties that used to stand on the site, including a church. The site is best visited in the cooler months so long grass doesn’t disguise the earthworks. It is private land, so it is best to ask at the farmhouse near the site, where there is some parking available, before going for a wander.
