Eye Guildhall is a substantial timber framed building and is located next door to Eye Church of St Peter and St Paul with its wonderful tower and overlooked by the remains of Eye Castle. The Guildhall dates from the late 15th Century, the prestige of the building can be seen by how close together the studs or upright timbers are, when built these would not have been exposed as they are today. A medieval carved figure of the Archangel Gabriel can be seen on the corner dragon post.
