This museum, housed in the Ravelin block at Landguard Fort, contains 14 display rooms of local social, military and nautical history. Exhibits include the Landguard Room with artefacts, maps, photographs and models depicting military life at the Fort from the reign of King Henry the Eighth up to the 1950s. Rooms are also devoted to the history of RAF Felixstowe, coastal forces, Roman Felixstowe and east coast pleasure steamers. Furthermore, the museum features themed exhibitions on topical events and anniversaries, and boasts a reference and photographic library, a café and shop.
