Framsden Windmill cannot be missed when driving through the small sleepy village of Framsden in deepest Suffolk with its pretty country cottages. It is a Tale post mill dating from 1760 that still has intact machinery, restored in the 1960s. The mill was first was modernised in 1836 when the structure was raised and the brick roundhouse built below the main wooden structure. Access is via a small lane beside the road but viewing is Sat & Sun by appointment only. Please phone to arrange.
