The Memorial Green would once have been known as the village green and been the centre of village life throughout the centuries. Fulbourn is a large and affluent village and would have historically benefited from its position and proximity to Cambridge making the village green a central crossroads and trading point. The green was renamed in honour of the men and women who lost their lives fighting in the two World Wars and now acts as a place to relax and watch the world go by in quiet tranquillity.
