The Old Hall was built by Sir Thomas Burgh during the 1470s, and advertises itself as a unique medieval manor house. Built with a predominantly timber frame design using a lot of wood, the Hall displays the Burgh’s initial amount of wealth. Brick sections of the house were added at a later date, and Henry VIII and his wife Catherine Howard spent the night here. A great day out for adults and children alike, the Hall also provides a number of extra events and has a well stocked gift-shop and tea shop.
