Glandford Shell Museum really is a wonderful find in the very heart of the Norfolk Countryside. It is housed in the oldest purpose-built museum in Norfolk and contains the finest seashell collection in the UK. During 2003 the museum underwent a major refurbishment programme but it still retains much of its original charm. As well as shells the collection also includes items such as a piece of Pompeii and a superb axehead found near Glandford. It is a small private trust and receives no public grants of any kind.
