Cambridge Guildhall sits at the centre of the historic city overlooking the market square. Its distinctive architectural style has made it a landmark in the city for centuries. The building houses the offices of the city council, but also has a great deal of function rooms within it that are used for various purposes by the council and outside organisations. The area immediately outside the building has been used for many years as a place for public protest and performance. Most days there will be something happening in this area against the fantastic backdrop of the guildhall building.
